Because of its popularity the Serengeti Cat was developed simultaneously in the USA and UK.

The ears of the Serengeti Cat are very large, rounded on the end, and placed directly on the top of the head. The American Serengeti cats have larger ears than the UK breeds due to the ears inherited from the American Orientals. What makes the Serengeti cats more special is the color, it is same as the Leopard Spotted cats. A clear yellow to gold cat with a pattern of distinct widely spaced black spots.
