Dog's Head Stuck in Wall: Rescued
An 8-month-old German shepherd named Rebel lived up to his name Monday afternoon after getting his head stuck inside an 18-inch-thick brick wall while his owner was away. The pup somehow squeezed his head through a retaining wall in his owner’s yard in Desert Hot Springs, but it was not certain what led him to poke through.
A friend of the dog's owner discovered the pup in distress, whimpering and crying for help. She tried to help the dog but was unable it to free. She then immediately called the animal control officers for help.
The animal services immediately checked the dog’s breathing to make sure his airways were not restricted, then began the rescue, pulling from one side of the wall and pushing from the other. The rescue lasted for 30 minutes, the team manage to rescue the dog without breaking down the wall and risking further injury to the animal.
