Two-Faced Cat Sets World Record
Animal born with two face are very unusual and they usually live for just couple of days, but one cat sets a Guinness world record for the longest living Janus cat. Frank and Louie has a case of craniofacial duplication, an extremely rare congenital condition, a disorder also known as diprosopia which can cause part or all of an individual's face to be duplicated on its head.
Frank and Louie is the name of the cat that holds this new world record. The cat was born on September 8, 1999 with two faces, two mouths, two noses, two normal eyes, and one large non functioning eye in the center. The cat has one brain, so both faces act in unison. Frank and Louie is now 12 years old, the longest living on its condition. The cat's owner is a former veterinary nurse who does not want to be identified.
